DiaCro Sport Expands Its Activities with Volleyball
On 1 November 2025, DiaCro Sport continued to expand its sporting activities by introducing volleyball as part of its programme for people living with diabetes.
As the association grows, so do the opportunities for children, young people, and adults living with diabetes to participate in organised sport, meet others with shared experiences, and enjoy the many benefits of an active lifestyle.
Creating new opportunities through sport
The addition of volleyball reflects DiaCro Sport’s commitment to making sport accessible to as many people living with diabetes as possible. By offering activities beyond football, the association encourages participants to discover new sports, build confidence, and become part of a supportive community.
The volleyball programme brings together players in an environment that promotes teamwork, inclusion, and mutual encouragement, demonstrating that diabetes does not have to be a barrier to participating in sport.
Building a stronger community
DiaCro Sport continues to develop initiatives that connect people living with diabetes through shared sporting experiences. Whether recreationally or competitively, participants are encouraged to stay active, support one another, and inspire others to embrace sport as part of a healthy lifestyle.
The expansion of sporting activities also reflects the growing interest within the diabetes community for opportunities to participate in different disciplines and strengthen connections beyond traditional programmes.
Supporting the mission of DiaPS
The development of new sporting activities closely aligns with the objectives of the DiaPS – Diabetes and Sport Peer Support project. Both initiatives share the goal of promoting inclusion, peer support, and equal opportunities through sport, while encouraging people living with diabetes to lead active and healthy lives.
By continuing to expand its activities, DiaCro Sport demonstrates how local initiatives can build on the values and impact of European projects such as DiaPS, creating lasting opportunities for the diabetes community.
