DiaPS Partners Meet in Zagreb to Shape the Future User Experience
Project partners gathered in Zagreb, Croatia, for a working meeting dedicated to one of the most important stages of the DiaPS – Diabetes and Sport Peer Support project: defining the structure, functionalities, and user experience of the DiaPS application.
The meeting brought together partners from different fields of expertise to ensure that the platform reflects the real needs of people living with Type 1 Diabetes and provides an intuitive, engaging, and practical user experience.
Designing the DiaPS application
A major focus of the meeting was to define the core features that will be included in the application. Partners worked closely to identify the most valuable tools and resources for future users, ensuring that the platform combines reliable educational content with meaningful peer support.
The discussions covered the organisation of content, community features, notifications, user profiles, and other functionalities that will help users easily navigate the platform and access the information they need.
Creating the user journey
Another key objective was mapping the user journey—the experience users will have from the moment they register until they become active members of the DiaPS community.
Partners discussed how to make the application simple, intuitive, and welcoming, ensuring that users can easily discover educational resources, connect with others, ask questions, and engage with the platform’s different features.
Every step of the user journey was carefully considered to create a positive and accessible experience for athletes, parents, coaches, healthcare professionals, and anyone interested in diabetes and sport.
Building the platform together
The Zagreb meeting demonstrated the importance of collaboration in developing a digital solution that is both practical and community-driven. By combining expertise from healthcare, sport, technology, and lived experience, the consortium continues to shape a platform designed around the needs of its future users.
The outcomes of the meeting will guide the next stages of development as the DiaPS application moves closer to launch.
