DiaPS Meeting in Barcelona: Final Steps Before App Launch

On Sunday, 15 March 2026, partners of the DiaPS – Diabetes Digital Peer Support project gathered in Barcelona to review progress and define the final steps ahead of the app launch.

The meeting brought together representatives of the International Diabetes Federation (IDF), HASK Mladost and Area Q, focusing on the last phase of development and ensuring everything is ready for the next milestone.

Final Touches on the DiaPS App

The discussion centred on final refinements of the application — from functional improvements to small but essential details that will ensure a smooth, intuitive, and user-friendly experience.

At this stage, the focus is not only on making the app work, but on making it simple, reliable, and truly useful for the community it is built for.

Preparing the Communication Approach

Alongside development updates, part of the meeting was dedicated to communication planning. Partners aligned on:

  • key messaging and tone of voice
  • social media approach
  • ways to introduce the platform to the community
  • strategies to encourage early engagement and participation

The goal is clear — to ensure that when the app launches, it already feels familiar, relevant, and welcoming to its users.

A Moment to Pause Before the Final Sprint

After an intensive working session, the day continued in a more relaxed setting, allowing partners to take a short break and connect informally. It was a valuable moment to reflect, recharge, and strengthen collaboration before entering the final phase of the project.

Moving Towards Launch

With development nearing completion, the focus now shifts to final preparations and building a strong, supportive community around the DiaPS platform.

The next step is clear — bringing DiaPS to life and making it accessible to those who need it most.
